This Japanese Blue & Gold Mai Ougi Weighted Dance Fan is hand-painted blue and gold and hand-made in Japan. The gold wave design against the blue background on both sides looks like the Great Wave. The Mai Ougi fans are weighted for Kabuki and traditional Japanese Dancing. Plus a small weight is added to the base allowing you to spin, twirl, and toss with ease. The word Mai (舞) means dance and Ougi, means folding fan in Japanese. These Japanese fans are beautiful enough to be a wonderful decoration to any home.
