Our granite products are carved from the traditional white/gray (salt & pepper) granite stone with black pigments unless noted (i.e. beige granite).

Most granite lanterns can be lifted with two or more people or placed on a dolly and moved. Most lanterns are usually made up of 3-6 separate pieces (base, pedestal, shaft, housing support, lamp housing, roof & cap) so although a lantern may weigh 200 lbs. total, the individual pieces may only weigh 10-60 lbs. each.

Granite lanterns that state they are "pre-drilled with a hole for electrical" means that the lantern is drilled with a approximately a 3/4" hole up through the inside of the granite lantern up to the light box. This is a wonderful feature for it allows you to install low voltage electrical wiring if you should decide to enlighten in your garden! Electrical wiring is not included but can be found at all hardware stores in the outside landscape lighting section.

Yes, we do pre-drill our yukimi lanterns for we feel it is a nice option if you should want to install electrical lighting and we do not charge extra for this feature.

Yes, if the lantern was purchased from our company we can order a replacement granite part. If you ever break or lose a section of your granite lantern that was purchased from us, we will gladly order the replacement piece at replacement cost to the best of our ability. Occasionally lantern styles are discontinued, and parts may be unavailable.

Sorry, wooden windows cannot be ordered for each window pane is hand-made to the individually carved lantern light box hole. We also suggest applying a wood preservative to the wooden window pane to preserve it.
