Japanese Nijima Shorebreak Shigaraki Vase
This porcelain 10 1/2″ Japanese Nijima Shorebreak Shigaraki Vase has a Beautiful patina color resembling the ocean washing upon the beach sand. Shigaraki, one of the six ancient kiln areas of Japan started producing roof tiles during the Nara period (715-806) and vases and tea ware during the 12th century.
It is easily recognizable by quartz particles found in the local clay which give each piece an unusual look and texture.

I am very happy with the Japanese Nijima Shorebreak Shigaraki vase I purchased. It is displayed in a prominent place in our home and is so beautiful. Everything I have ever purchased from Japanese Style has been of quality and fairly priced. Anita sometimes tucks in a small surprise which is so appreciated. Thank you!!
